The Altora team is expanding and we are so excited to welcome Ben, our new Web Developer!
We asked Ben some questions about his experience and what led him to this role. With over ten years of experience working as a Web Developer and Graphic Designer, we are certain Ben is going to take Altora to new heights!
What drew you to Altora and made you excited to join our team?
I was drawn to Altora as it seemed like a friendly, close-knit, customer-focused team and a great product. I was looking for a role where I can use both my development and design experience, and learn more about SaaS product development.
Can you share a brief overview of your career journey and what roles or experiences led you here?
I spent around 10 years as a freelance graphic designer, and during that time I became more interested in web development. I have worked with many small businesses to strengthen their brand and build their digital presence.
What is your role at Altora, and what are you most looking forward to in this position?
My role at Altora is Web Developer. I’m most looking forward to enhancing the design and user experience across the Altora website and knowledgebase, to make it easier for new and existing customers to get the most out of Altora.
How has your time at Altora been so far? Any initial impressions or highlights?
Everyone has been fantastic, very welcoming and friendly. It was great to everyone working together in the lead up to the MEGATRANS expo. I have been impressed by the importance placed on customer feedback as well.
What do you hope to achieve or learn during your time here at Altora?
I hope to help boost Altora’s digital presence, continue to improve the user experience and accessibility of the Altora website, and enhance the knowledgebase and docs to make easier for users to leverage all the features of Altora.
Is there a particular aspect of the company or team that you’re excited about?
There seems to be a healthy appreciation among the team for sandwiches and beer.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Gardening, building Lego with my daughter, drumming, photography.
