How to switch to Altora

Already have users, induction courses and training records in another system? Moving to Altora doesn't mean starting again. We'll help you transfer your existing data and content, configure your induction processes and prepare your team for launch.

Plan your migration

Start by reviewing your existing induction system and deciding what needs to move across. Identify the courses, users, documents and workflows you want to retain, along with anything that can be updated or retired. Establish a clear timeline, communicate important dates internally and make sure relevant teams understand what is changing.

The Altora team can help you understand how your existing processes can be configured within the platform and answer any questions about the transition.

Transfer your data and induction content

Prepare and transfer the records and content you need in your new system. Existing user data can be bulk imported, while induction materials, documents, policies and SCORM packages can be brought across without starting from scratch.

You can also use the transition as an opportunity to review existing content, remove outdated material and simplify your induction processes.

Configure your induction processes

Set up the workflows that determine which inductions and requirements apply to different workers. Upload your existing course content and training materials, configure induction programmes and use Altora’s course builder to create or refresh content where required.
