How does the visitor management system work?

1. Complete inductions before arrival

Workers can complete their assigned inductions, training and other requirements online before arriving at the workplace.

2. Check in on site

On arrival, workers can quickly check in using a digital kiosk or by scanning a QR code, with their attendance linked to their existing Altora record.

3. Identify outstanding requirements

Use induction information during the check-in process to identify workers with outstanding requirements and prompt them to complete missing items.

4. Maintain a live site register

See who’s currently on site with real-time attendance information, giving your team greater visibility across one or multiple locations.

5. Improve emergency preparedness

Access accurate who’s-on-site information when responding to an emergency, helping you determine who is present and where they checked in.

6. Keep records connected

Keep induction and check-in information connected within Altora, reducing duplicate data entry and providing a clearer record of worker compliance and attendance.

One of our valued clients, Vestas, are a renewable energy organisation with multiple remote wind farm sites across Australia.

Vestas initially signed up to our induction system before deciding to add on our sign-in software.

Due to not having a site office, they required a process that would enable them to manage who’s on site with ease.

Streamlined data

Any data collected within their check-in system transfers and is stored within the induction software. For example, any site check ins, reports, and evacuations reported on site will all be visible within the induction system. It will also be linked to any relevant companies or workers that you choose to connect that information with.

Our check-in system serves as an extra layer of protection within your induction processes, prompting workers to provide any missing information such as licences and certifications, as well as saving those documents within the centralised induction system and linked to that specific worker. It also flags if a worker has not completed certain training modules, important policies, custom workflows or if any documentation or work permits are missing before they begin work – ensuring that nothing gets missed.
