Hillsong Church Case Study

Hillsong needed a system for work compliance to support staff and volunteers for training, reporting and proof of identification purposes.

Hillsong is a contemporary Christian Church founded in Sydney in 1983. Hillsong’s growth has been significant since its opening. There are now churches in the city centres of 30 countries worldwide, with an average global attendance of 150,000 weekly. Hillsong’s vision is to create a healthy church, changing lives through Christ. Hillsong is also known for its music, a college in Sydney, ministry initiatives and the many conferences it holds throughout the year. Hillsong believes in the power and significance of the Church.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Hillsong needed a system for work compliance to support staff and volunteers for training, reporting and proof of identification purposes. As a not for profit organisation, Hillsong was mindful of finding a system with an appealing price point while also looking for an easy-to-use platform with features that allowed for better automation and secure data sharing.

THE SOLUTION

Altora offers a simple, functional system that is user-friendly and cost-effective. With a focus on security and privacy, clients are ensured to feel safe with their information, which is important to Hillsong. For example, Altora allows clients to pull reports with access limits to make sure that data can still be shared will controlling who has access to the overall system.

Altora also features auto-reminders which, if set up correctly, can prove to be quite helpful, meaning admins spend less time chasing up users, another benefit that Hillsong liked in Altora.

Altora also continually makes improvements to its systems and has a support team that is always helpful and prompt.

Hillsong is a not for profit organisation and find Altora to be very appealing. In our experience, we’ve found it’s good value for money and you get what you pay for. We found that Altora’s security was quite good given that there is a unique URL for the system login. This information can’t just be Googled and the user and admin portals are separate. We feel that it is secure for the storage of personal information. Hillsong give Altora 4 stars and would not only recommend them, but we already do!
